Five Rules of Social Revolution

“Is abortion murder? Yes, or no? If ‘yes,’ then we must ACT like it is murder.”

Randall Terry presents this challenge in an opinion available at LifeSiteNews. (As is the case with LifeSiteNews, Pikes Peak Citizens for Life does not endorse candidates for public office and the mention of Terry’s opinion in this post is not an endorsement of the author for public office.)

The challenge is issued within the context of “pro-life” strategies recently published in various articles that Terry rejects as “folly, a medley of mediocrity, passionless and visionless” (see the article for a more detailed analysis by Terry). Terry concludes that “the cause to criminalize the murder of human beings from conception until birth will be destroyed” if these strategies are followed (emphasis in original).

Instead, Terry offers his own strategy which he describes as the “Rules and Tools of Social Revolution.” These rules/tools are:

• Incendiary images
• Radical rhetoric
• Aggressive actions
• Serious sacrifice
• Verifiable victory

Terry describes how these rules/tools made victory possible in previous social revolutions (again, see the article for Terry’s details about how these rules/tools are effective) and that victory in the pro-life movement will require their use now.

Abortion is murder, and we should be acting in such a way as to end it as soon as possible.
