What is Mater Filius?
Mater Filius means Mother and Child.
While Mater Filius Colorado Springs is building a beautiful, dignified home for pregnant moms in the Springs, we are not inventing a new program of services entirely from the ground up. We are the 23rd affiliate of Mater Filius, an international group of homes for pregnant women founded in 2003, and the 6th in the United States.
Our closest Mater Filius affiliate in Omaha, Nebraska, was founded in 2013 and serves as the lead affiliate for the United States.
Affiliating with such a robust group with a proven track record ensures a successful endeavor here in the Springs, and happy outcomes for both moms and their children.
