To reduce the frequency of abortion, one needs to know why abortion is chosen in the first place.

Research from the Charlotte Lozier Institute, as reported by LifeNews, indicates that in almost every case abortion is chosen as “birth control” and not because of rape/incest, physical risk to the mother’s body, or fetal abnormalities.

The study found 95.9% of abortions are done for elective and unspecified reasons.

To reduce abortion, therefore, we would do well to concentrate on addressing the reasons why so many women chose after becoming pregnant not to give birth to a live baby.
