We have seen it in previous elections.
So, it is no surprise that the abortion supporters have plenty of money on hand, as noted in an article from Complete Colorado, to place a citizen-initiated measure on the 2024 ballot to enshrine abortion in the state constitution.
The measure would also repeal the ban on public funding of abortions that is presently in the state constitution.
Calling themselves “Coloradans for Protecting Reproductive Freedom,” the group has raised $1,368,811 so far, including a $500,000 donation from Lynn Shusterman of Tulsa, OK.
The article also notes that the campaign is reporting that “there’s plenty more [money] where that came from.”
Again, no surprise, but an indication of the challenges the pro-life side will face this election season.
