In anticipation of that decision the Colorado State Assembly passed the Reproductive Health Equity Act which made abortion through all 9 months of pregnancy legal in Colorado. Subsequently\, the legislature passed additional laws aimed at attacking pro-life pregnancy centers and protecting anyone who performs abortions. In 2024 Colorado voters enshrined the so-called right to abortion in the state constitution and in 2025 the State Assembly passed a measure to use taxpayer funds to pay for abortions in publicly funded insurance plans. In 2024 alone it is estimated that nearly 25\,000 abortions took place in Colorado. Jesus tells us in Matthew 17 that some kinds of demons are not driven out except by prayer and fasting. While we cannot abandon legislative approaches to returning a culture of life to our state\, we are appealing to a higher authority. So\, we are inviting all people who pray to join us in appealing to God to end the hellish landscape of abortion in Colorado by praying and fasting on the first Friday of every month.
