To train, equip, and support communities across the United States and the world in sidewalk advocacy: to be the hands and feet of Christ, offering loving, life-affirming alternatives to all present at abortion and abortion-referral facilities, thereby eliminating demand and ending abortion
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Our Core Values
Christ-centered
We seek to bring together the Body of Christ in a spirit of unity to pray for and participate in the local sidewalk advocacy program.
Loving
Love is the cornerstone of our ministry. Our outreach is motivated by love for the mother, her preborn child, and her family.
Life-affirming
We believe in the sanctity of life and promote pregnancy-help options that best protect human life in every circumstance and without exception.
Peaceful
We peacefully share the truth in love with those at the abortion facility, and seek to be a courageous and compassionate example of Christ to the surrounding community.
Prayerful
Prayer is the foundation of our work, and our relationship with Christ is the source of our strength. Sidewalk Advocates are encouraged to rely on prayer and invite their community to pray for the local program.
Law-abiding
We comply with the law and act within the confines of our First Amendment rights as we share information.
Servant-leadership
Our ministry is committed to serving pregnant women in need and their families. We seek to set an example of humble service in all that we do (Matthew 23:11).
Excellence
We are called to be the best possible stewards of the ministry entrusted to us (Matthew 25:14-30). Informed by research and experience, we aim to provide professional and effective outreach outside the abortion facility.
Victory-minded
Our goal is to end abortion by eliminating the demand through effective sidewalk outreach. We are admonished to “run as if to win,” and we are hopeful of “victory through Our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Cor 9:24-27; 15:57).
Our Pledge of Integrity signed by all trained and certified Sidewalk Advocates as well as our Statement of Faith reflect these core values and their application to our mission to save lives and bring an end to abortion.
