Blessing Future Generations from the Womb and Beyond: Author Edna Rivera Visits Colorado Springs Oct. 17

Pikes Peak Citizens for Life invites the community to a special public event, “Blessing Future Generations from the Womb and Beyond,” on Tuesday, October 17, 2026, at 1:30 pm at The Venue at Library 21c, 1175 Chapel Hills Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80920. The one-hour presentation will be followed by a light reception.

Author and speaker Edna Rivera, a child development specialist, will share how research confirms that the best time to begin sowing the Word of God into the next generation is while a child is still in the womb. Edna has traveled from Puerto Rico to introduce her book, Pregnancy: The Best Time to Submerge Your Baby in Prayer, review the science behind this approach, and reveal results from the pilot project “Forming a New Generation.”

The book offers parents a week-by-week prayer guide through all 40 weeks of pregnancy. As each part of the baby’s body develops, parents are guided to pray specific scripture and names of God over their child, while also praying spiritual characteristics, such as the fruit of the Spirit and the armor of God, into their child’s life. The goal is to help parents bond with their baby in the womb and to establish a physical, emotional, and spiritual heritage rooted in God’s Word.

Forming a New Generation is a prayer ministry that partners weekly with expectant mothers and fathers to pray for their baby’s development, drawing on biblical and prenatal memory research. Organizers hope this resource will one day be as widely known among new parents as other popular pregnancy guides.
